Each State’s Highest Ranked Team (1988-2017)

Here is a state-by-state list of the highest end-of-season rankings for boys’ basketball teams since a version of the Grassroots Hoops FAB 50 poll began for the 1987-88 season. 2017-18 FAB 50 national title contender Memphis East earned the highest ranking ever for a Tennessee club during the 2016-17 season.

Updated FAB 50 National Rankings

Two newly-crowned state champions crack the second-to-last GrassrootsHoops.net FAB 50 of the 2014-15 season: Homestead (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and Creighton Prep (Omaha, Neb.). All state playoffs around the country are now complete with Dick’s Nationals in New York April 2-4 the only games left to be played.
