Hoops By Ugland Top 35 Rankings

Brenton Knapper of Colony (Ontario, Calif.) was likely the most explosive guard at the second annual Hoops By Ugland Skill Summit. Senior wing Isaiah Skinner of Xavier College Prep (Palm Desert, Calif.) was one of the camp’s breakout performers and cracks the Top 15 in our performance-based player rankings from the event. We evaluated all the sessions of the Hoops By Ugland Skills Summit at Beckman (Irvine, Calif.) on Saturday and broke down our notes and reports to rank the top 35 players in attendance.

The following rankings are based on evaluations from all the sessions of Saturday’s one-day event. The rankings are based on performance at the camp only, not on performance combined with previous honors or previous national rankings. Not all 35 players selected participated in both sessions of the showcase and Peyton Watson of Long Beach Poly (arguably the best long-term prospect in camp) only played half of one game so he wasn’t graded. Keep in mind lead guards tend to dominate settings such as the Hoops by Ugland showcase and the camp did not contain many true post players. There was plenty of low to mid-major type D1 talent in the showcase and there were no all-star games.
