Live Period: Top 60 Rankings

Obadiah Curtis of Edison (Fresno, Calif.) just missed the Top 60 list from four combined events in the NCAA’s only live travel ball and traditional grassroots period for July 2019. Photo: Scott Kurtz

We evaluated each day of the only July NCAA evaluation period of 2019 between July 11-14 and broke down our notes to rank the top 60 players we saw in Los Angeles between the Pangos Premier 80, Pangos Sweet 16, West Coast Elite Summer Classic and The Hoop Circuit West Coast Challenge.

The following rankings are based on evaluations from the four major Los Angeles events that run simultaneously during the only NCAA July evaluation period. The rankings are based on performance, not college potential, or performance combined with previous honors, national or state ranking. The overall level of talent we had an opportunity to evaluate July 11-14 was mainly low to mid-major prospects as the top-tier talent for the most part were at shoe company-sponsored events in other states. These rankings are based on what we saw and obviously would be alot different from another evaluators’ list based on which games and which event one focused on at any particular time during the four days. Our evaluations are based on all-around performance within the context of winning basketball. We also took into account statistics provided at each event and a player’s class.
