Pangos All-East Frosh/Soph Top 50 Rankings

2016-pangos-all-east-576
We took in all the sessions of the 2016 Pangos All-East Frosh/Soph Camp at RiverWinds Center (West Deptford, N.J.) the weekend of October 29-30 and broke down our notes and evaluations to rank the top fifty players in attendance.

The following rankings are based on evaluations of approximately 240 campers from all the sessions, not just the two Cream of the Crop All-Star Games. The following rankings are based on performance at the camp only, not on performance combined with previous honors, national or state player rankings. They are also ranked with actual performance in mind, not a player’s potential as a college prospect. Some players did not participate in every session of the camp and in some instances that altered the rankings. This camp was the biggest in terms of raw numbers and high-major talent on hand. Many deserving players who might have been honored at one of the previous three stops just missed making this list. We also would like to mention Lynn Greer III, a 2020 guard out of Roman Catholic (Philadelphia, Pa.), who is one of the best freshman guards on the East Coast. He was in attendance and is highly-regarded, but unfortunately, we did not have an opportunity to evaluate him. Keep in mind guards, or players with the ball in their hands, tend to dominate showcase settings such as the Pangos Frosh/Soph Camp (s).

How does a kid that makes cream of crop top 25, don’t make top 25?

The Cream of the Crop Top 25 doesn’t have much to do with my own personal evals. My personal evals could have 25 point guards or 25 bigs, but obviously that won’t be the case for a Cream of the Crop Game.
