The 2015 Jordan Brand Classic team was recently announced, headlined by the West’s Ben Simmons and the East’s Jaylen Brown . The 14th annual Jordan Brand Classic has unveiled the 26 student-athletes who will participate in the national boys game to be played on April 17 (8 p.m. ET). The game will be played for the third consecutive year at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The 2015 Jordan Brand Classic squad includes Grassroots Hoops Mr. Basketball USA front-runners Ben Simmons, Jaylen Brown, Malik Newman and Ivan Rabb. Brown will play for the East club and the other three will compete for the West.

This year there isn’t a hometown product playing in the JBC national game. Last year, Isaiah Whitehead of Lincoln (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was selected to participate but was unable to play because of injury. He’s now at Seton Hall.

Top News 120There is a whopping seven players still uncommitted for college. At the time of the 2014 announcement, there was only only one — 6-foot-11 Myles Turner of Trinity (Euless, Texas), who now plays for the University of Texas.

In last year’s game, Jahlil Okafor (Duke via Whitney Young, Chicago) led the East team to a 158-147 victory over the West team. Okafor shared game MVP honors with the West’s Cliff Alexander (Kansas via Curie, Chicago). Alexander was the 2014 Mr. Basketball USA National Player of the Year.

The 2015 Jordan Brand Classic will feature three games, beginning with an International Game at 1:30 p.m. EDT. This is the eighth year that the best young talent from around the globe will participate at the JBC. Following the International Game at 3:30 p.m., the inaugural girls game will be hosted by WNBA star Maya Moore.

A regional game will tip off at 5:30 p.m. The Regional Game is a “City vs. Suburbs” affair that will feature the top prep players from the New York metropolitan area.
